Looking for marketing phrases that attract customers to your store? Most lists you'll find are full of generic lines like "unmatched quality" and "the best prices". They work for any store in the world, which is exactly why they don't set yours apart. In this guide you'll find copy-ready phrases grouped by product type and by goal, with fill-ins in square brackets like [period] and [city] that you replace with your store's real details. First, a quick look at what makes a phrase work in the first place.
What makes a marketing phrase attract customers?
A good marketing phrase isn't the longest or the most exaggerated. It's the one that answers a question in the customer's mind at the moment they see it. It usually has three qualities:
- A specific benefit: "Lasts on your clothes until the end of the day" says more than "amazing perfume". Customers buy the result, not the adjective.
- True, and you can prove it: if you say "delivered in two days", it really has to arrive in two days. One false line costs you the customer's trust in the rest of the page.
- Right for where it appears: a line that works in an Instagram post may be too long for a product photo, and vice versa.
There's a fourth quality that matters too: it sounds like your store. If you sell premium bakhoor (incense) in a calm, understated style, a line like "Grab it before it's gone!!!" won't fit, even if it's true.
Where will you use the phrase? Each spot has its own length and style
Before you copy any phrase, decide where it's going. The same idea can be written several ways depending on the spot:
- The first line of your product description: put the main benefit here in a sentence or two, because customers read the opening and decide whether to keep going. To build the full description, see the guide to writing product descriptions with AI.
- The promotional title in Salla: Salla's product data has a promotional title field and a subtitle for it, and Salla's developer docs describe them as a title and subtitle shown on the product's main image. So the space is small: two or three words at most, like "New" or "Free shipping".
- A social media post: you have more room. You can open with a question or a situation the customer recognizes, then the benefit, then what to do next.
- A homepage banner: one clear line that can be read in a second, with a button that tells the customer the next step.
How to use ready-made sales phrases without sounding like everyone else
The sales phrases below are written as templates. Anything in square brackets, like [period] or [ingredient], must be replaced with a real detail from your product. Three simple rules:
- Don't include anything you can't verify. If you don't know exactly how long a perfume lasts, delete the line instead of guessing.
- Adjust the wording until it sounds like you. A ready-made phrase is a starting point, not final copy. The same goes for ready-made product description templates: use them as a structure and fill them with your product's details.
- Use one strong phrase in each spot instead of stacking five in a row.

Catchy phrases for business goals: shipping, returns, offers and gifts
Sometimes you don't need to talk about the product at all; you need to answer the customer's hesitation. When will it arrive? What if I don't like it? That's where short promotional phrases come in.
Shipping and delivery phrases
- Free shipping on orders over SAR [amount].
- Delivered within [number] business days in [city or region].

Offer and discount phrases
- [Percentage]% off [products] from [date] to [date].

- Only [number] left in this colour.
- Offer ends [date and time].
- Code [code] gets you [percentage]% off your first order.
- Bundle price SAR [price] instead of SAR [separate prices total].
Important: urgency and discount lines only work if they're literally true. Don't write "only 3 left" when you have 300 in stock, or "offer ends tonight" when you plan to extend it every day. Article 11 of Saudi Arabia's E-Commerce Law prohibits an electronic advertisement from including a false offer, statement or claim, or being worded in a way that directly or indirectly leads to deceiving or misleading the consumer. For discounts, the Ministry of Commerce has published rules for businesses and online stores, including getting a discount licence before advertising a sale, stating discount percentages clearly, and showing the price before and after the discount. Check the current requirements on the Ministry's website before any discount campaign.
And if a big season is coming up, read how to prepare your product pages for White Friday (the region's Black Friday) before you write your offer copy.
Gift and occasion phrases
- We'll write your gift card message for you and leave the invoice out of the package.
- A ready-made gift for [occasion], wrapped and ready to go.
- Sending it to someone else? Add their address when you order.
- A gift under SAR [amount] that still looks the part.
Short words that sell: promotional titles and product image badges
These are one to three words long and work on a product image or as a small badge:
- New
- Back in stock
- Best seller (if you have sales data to back it up)
- Free shipping
- Limited quantity (if it really is limited)
- [Season] edition
- Perfect gift
- Made in [country]
What's the best ad formula for attracting customers?
There's no magic formula, but there is a simple order that works for most products:
- Start with the customer: a situation or need they recognize. Example: "Looking for a work perfume that isn't heavy?"
- Present the benefit: exactly what the product solves. "[Name] is light and clean, made for closed offices."
- Give them a reason to believe you: a real detail such as ingredients, size or the returns policy.
- Tell them what to do: "Order the sample first and try it yourself."
Here's an illustrative example of a full post in that order: "Looking for a work perfume that isn't heavy? [Name] has [ingredient] and [ingredient], with a clean, calm scent. Available as a [size] sample so you can try it before the full size. Link in bio."
If you're using this formula in a Snapchat ad, our Snapchat ads guide for online stores covers the campaign setup, budget and the product page shoppers land on.
What are the most catchy marketing phrases?
The best phrase is the one your customer reads and feels it's talking to them, not to just anyone. That's why catchy marketing phrases that actually sell are usually simpler than you'd expect: accurate information written in a friendly way. "Delivered tomorrow within Riyadh" can sell more than "an exceptional shopping experience", because it answers a real question. The only way to know what works for your audience is to test two phrases and compare the results yourself.
Phrases to avoid, even if everyone uses them
- Empty exaggeration: "the best in the world", "unmatched quality", "a legendary product". They tell the customer nothing, and they can't verify them.
- Fake urgency: a countdown that ends and starts again, or "last one" on a product with plenty of stock. Customers notice, and sometimes they come back two days later and see the same line.
- Health or therapeutic claims: "treats hair loss", "melts fat", "boosts immunity". Don't write them unless they're proven and documented by the competent authority.
- Comparisons with brands you don't own: "smells just like [famous brand]" can get you into trademark trouble, and the law prohibits using a mark in advertising that you don't have the right to use.
- Promises you can't control: "delivered within hours" when you rely on a courier that doesn't guarantee that time.
So, what's next?
Pick one product from your store and apply three phrases to it: one in the first line of the description, one in the promotional title and one in a post. Then review the rest of the product page: does the description keep the same promise? Are the product SEO fields filled in?
Phrases like these work best on top of a description that already explains the product. If writing those descriptions is the bottleneck, Wasef drafts one for each product from its own data, with an SEO title and meta description, and you add your own phrases and offer details before publishing to Salla. The 7-day trial is free and needs no card.
