White Friday Offer Ideas for Your Store: Offers That Sell Without Burning Your Margin
Eight White Friday 2026 offer ideas for your Salla store, with when each one fits and when it can hurt you, a simple calculation to see how much you can really discount, and a reminder about the discount licence.

This year White Friday (the region's name for Black Friday) falls on 27 November 2026, and many stores stretch their offers across a week or more. The question most merchants keep asking isn't really "Should I discount or not?" It's "What kind of offer brings in orders without eating my profit?"
In this article we've put together eight offer ideas you can use in your store, with when each one fits and when it can hurt you. But first, let's do the maths properly, because even the best offer idea can lose you money if you don't know your limits.
Before the idea: how much can you actually discount?
Take a hypothetical example: you sell a product for SAR 120, it costs you 60, and shipping and payment fees cost you roughly 20. Your profit per item is SAR 40.
If you give 20% off, the price drops to 96, and your costs stay the same. Your profit falls to just SAR 16. In other words, you need to sell two and a half items to make the same profit you used to make from one item before the discount.
That's not a reason not to discount, but it is a reason to choose your offer type carefully. Run this calculation for your top 10 products and set the maximum discount each one can take. Then pick from the ideas below.
8 White Friday offer ideas
1. Discount selected products, not the whole store
Instead of "20% off everything", choose products whose margins can take it, or products you want customers to discover. That way you control the cost, and you can offer a deeper discount on fewer products.
Fits: stores whose margins vary a lot from product to product.
Watch out: make it clear in the banner and headline that the offer is on selected products, so customers don't feel misled when they find their favourite product isn't discounted.
2. Volume discounts: the bigger the order, the bigger the discount
For example: 10% off two items and 15% off three. Salla supports this kind of offer under "Special Offers", and you can schedule it to start and end at a set time.
Fits: products people buy more than one of: coffee, bakhoor (incense), personal care, everyday clothing.
Watch out: work out the discount at the highest tier, not just the first.
3. Buy one, get another
"Buy a perfume and get a pocket spray" or "Buy 2, get the third free". The customer sees clear value, and you usually give away a product that costs less than the equivalent discount. Salla supports this type in Special Offers too.
Fits: when you have a small, reasonably priced product that complements the main one.
Watch out: don't make the free product something nobody wants. A gift with no value weakens the whole offer.
4. Bundles: products that go together, at one price
Group two or three products customers use together into a bundle priced below their combined total. For example: specialty coffee with filters and a cup, or a complete care set. Bundles work especially well in gifting season, because customers want something ready to give.
Fits: stores with products that complement each other.
Watch out: write a dedicated description for the bundle that says exactly what's inside and who it suits as a gift. A bundle page that doesn't explain its contents brings a flood of questions on WhatsApp.
5. Free shipping over a set amount
Shipping is one of the main reasons customers abandon their cart. If your average order is SAR 150, try free shipping on orders over 200. That encourages customers to add another product, and the extra covers part of the shipping cost.
Fits: almost every store, especially those with mid-priced products.
Watch out: set the threshold close to your average order value, not far above it. If it's too high, customers won't try to reach it.
6. A gift with orders over a set amount
Same idea as free shipping, but instead of shipping you give a gift: a sample, a small product, or a voucher for a future order. A gift makes the experience nicer, and customers remember your store after the season.
Fits: perfume, personal care and coffee stores, and any store that has samples or small products.
Watch out: state exactly what the gift is on the offer page, and what happens if it runs out.
7. Early access for past customers
A day or two before the public offer starts, send a coupon to your past customers or your email list. They're the easiest people to sell to because they've already tried you, and it eases the load on your store and shipping during the peak days.
Fits: stores with a customer base, even a small one.
Watch out: limit the coupon by time and number of uses, so it doesn't spread and turn into a public discount.
8. Clearing slow-moving stock
Got products that have been sitting in the warehouse for months? White Friday is the best time to move them with a deeper discount than the rest of the store, because people are already looking for deals. Turning dead stock into cash is better than letting it take up space.
Fits: stores with older models or broken size runs.
Watch out: be clear if sizes or colours are limited, so you don't see a spike in returns after the season.
What to avoid in your offers
- Raising the price before the sale so the discount looks bigger. Customers track prices and compare now, and this kind of manipulation is against the rules and damages your store's reputation more than any weak offer.
- Too many overlapping offers. If you have a percentage discount, a coupon, free shipping and a gift all running at once, work out what happens if they all stack on a single order. Salla lets you decide whether an offer works with coupons or not, so settle that from the start.
- "Last one" when it isn't. Fake urgency is spotted quickly, and it makes customers doubt everything else on your page.
The discount licence: get it before any offer
Before you advertise any discount, you need a discount licence from the Ministry of Commerce, and this includes online stores. The licence is issued online and lists the products covered, the discount percentage and the duration. Among the requirements the Ministry has announced:
- Display the licence number clearly in your store.
- Show the price before and after the discount.
- State the offer's start and end dates.
- Clearly disclose your exchange and returns policy.
Procedures and requirements can change from year to year, so check them on the Ministry of Commerce website before you launch your campaign. And if your returns policy was written in a rush or doesn't exist yet, here's a returns and exchange policy template with the points the law requires.
Where do you get a discount licence?
The licence is issued online through the Ministry of Commerce discounts platform, without visiting a branch, and online stores can apply just like physical shops. In the application you list the products covered, their prices before and after the discount, and the offer period.
When should you apply?
The Ministry opens discount seasons during the year. For example, it announced "Discounts 2026" licences for businesses and online stores from 1 August to 31 October 2026, without counting against your annual discount allowance. So if you're running an offer before the end of October, this is your window.
For White Friday itself, we couldn't find an official announcement about 2026 licences at the time of this update. Follow the Ministry of Commerce's accounts and the discounts platform, and apply early, before you design your offer banners, because running a discount without a licence is a violation.
How can customers verify your licence?
The licence includes a barcode, and the Ministry advises consumers to scan it to confirm the discount is licensed. Display your licence clearly in your store, on your offers page or in the footer, since it also reassures new customers.
The offer brings the customer in; the page convinces them
The strongest discount won't help if a customer lands on the product page and can't tell what they're buying. During the season, customers open several stores and compare, and the one whose page explains the sizes, specs and what's in the box wins the order. We've put together a weekly plan for preparing your product pages before White Friday you can follow step by step.
And if you need words for banners and headlines, there are ready-made marketing phrases for offers and shipping you can adapt to your store.
If you'll promote your offer with ads, start testing at least two weeks before the season. Our Snapchat ads guide for online stores covers the steps and budget.
Where does Wasef fit in?
If you're updating dozens of product pages before the season, Wasef drafts the description, subtitle, promotional title and SEO fields from each product's data, in one batch and in your store's style. Wasef doesn't know your offer details unless you spell them out, so check that the promotional title matches the actual discount before you publish.
A quick timeline for the weeks ahead
- Now to mid-October: calculate the margins on your top products and pick two or three offer types, no more.
- Second half of October: prepare bundles, gifts and stock, and get your discount licence.
- Early November: prepare your product pages, returns policy and campaign images.
- A week before: schedule your offers in Salla and send early access to past customers.
- After the season: remove the promotional titles, and note which offers brought profitable orders and which aren't worth repeating.
Start today with the simple calculation for your top 10 products. That's what will tell you which offer suits you, not what your competitor is doing.
